Delicious

I recommend and use Del.icio.us to store most of my links “in the cloud.” You can visit my main links page here:

I also use tags to create and maintain topic-specific link lists:

Sending Me Links

If you are a Del.icio.us user, you can send links to my attention by tagging them with “for:syfer” and you can also subscribe to my links by electing to follow me.

Web Development Tools

My favorite handful of tools for web development and domain management include:
  • Dreamhost - While there are some Dreamhost haters out there, I think there are many many more Dreamhost lovers and I am definitely one of them. Excellent packages for small developers and an amazing referral program ($97 per). Seriously, check them out.
  • RapidWeaver 4.0 - A geat, inexpensive, template-based site development app for Mac (Leopard). More sophisticated than iWeb, but less baroque and inscrutable than good old Dreamweaver, which, frankly, I’m tired of shelling out for (while only using about 2% of it’s vast capabilites).
  • WordPress - The most powerful blogging software out there (and Dreamhost is an excellent WordPress host). Really a complete CMS if you need it to work that way and loads of great templates.
  • Sedo.com - Turn a few bucks from your unused, parked domain names. Sedo will pay you ad revenue and you can even customize your pages for traffic. Really an incredible service. They also support domain sales and auctions. I’m parking/selling a whole slew of domains there and they at least pay for themsleves in terms of renewals. My featured site of the moment (mmm, link juice) is: SFSFX.com and you should vist, click the links and buy things from our fine sponsors!
  • Bradicon! - Handy way to convert graphics to favicons.
